As your library manager for the E.M. Gilliam Memorial Public Library, I am deeply passionate about my calling to welcome everybody into our Library with open arms. Our Library’s mission is to create a warm and inclusive environment where individuals from all walks of life can come together to grow intellectually and socially. Nothing brings me more joy than seeing new faces entering our Library, eager to explore the wealth of knowledge and opportunities within and outside our walls. Equally, I cherish the familiar smiles of our regular patrons, greeting them with enthusiasm as they return to our space. Whether it’s guiding someone through their first library visit or engaging in lively conversations with longtime members, every interaction is an opportunity to foster connection, inspire curiosity, and enrich lives. We proudly participated in Career Day and Reading Day at the elementary school. Library staff shared their expertise and passion for literature with young students, inspiring them to learn and grow.
